Renee also heads up Tapestry of Hope, a non-profit organization she founded in 2006, and works with underserved teens to help them get a college degree. She requested that her donation be made In Honor Of Brandon Dalton, C-Battery, Aggie Band.

HAW made a contribution to the Eternal Aggie Band Fund.  The fund is used to supplement funds for instruments and/or instrument repair as well as other non-travel expenses for the Aggie Band. This is especially helpful for cadets who cannot afford to buy their own instrument and to cover the cost of large instruments such as sousaphones and drums.

She spoke to the May 2018 HAW luncheon about turning potential into success.
