This month is all about celebrating First-Generation Students! Texas A&M University celebrates First-Generation Week to honor the determined spirit of students, faculty and staff who are, or were, the first in their families to earn a four-year degree.
Dr. Leticia Palomin, Director of the Routh First-Generation Center, joins us to talk about the Center's nationally-recognized model, grounded in collaboration, innovation, and the belief that no student should ever have to navigate the maze of collegiate life alone.
Did you know that 25 percent of the undergraduate population identify as being first-generation students?
