About The Event
BECAUSE OF THE HARRIS COUNTY COVID-19 STATUS, WE HAVE CANCELLED OUR JANUARY 12TH NETWORKING LUNCHEON.
WE WILL RESCHEDULE DR. BOTEZATU TO SPEAK AT A LATER DATE.
Since 2015, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service regional specialists have been making an impression on the Texas wine industry. Specialists visit vineyards, help the growers, and conduct educational programs.
Dr. Andreea Botezatu, a Texas A&M assistant professor and extension enology specialist, has a Ph.D. in wine science from Brock University in Canada and experience as a winemaker in both Europe and Canada.
As Texas A&M's first licensed enologist, Dr. B (as she is affectionately known) heads the certificate program that educates students on the science behind making wine. She also leads the graduate enology program. Her research into grape acidity is discovering ways the winemaking process can be adapted to make Texas wines taste better and more profitable.
